The Utah concealed firearm permit is honored in 38 states. Maryland and Washington DC are not included. The Utah permit does not require a shooting test. For those who are considering owning or carrying a firearm but are not sure it is right for them, or simply have questions. A four hour, completely free, women-only class in a comfortable and supportive environment. There is no live firing of guns in this class -- it is classroom based and focuses on knowledge, safety and confidence. This class covers: Owning a firearm -- understanding your responsibilities as a gun owner Handling a firearm -- safe handling practices and proper storage Carrying a firearm -- the basics of safe and legal carry Q&A session -- plenty of time to ask questions...

Getting to know and operating the gun. A non-shooting class for new and prospective gun owners. We cover how a pistol works, how to handle it safely, how to load, unload and store it, and how to build the confidence to operate it without hesitation. This is a classroom class -- there is no live fire.
